Geothermal ultra-long gravity heat pipe ammonia steam direct drive geothermal power generation project

This research project is a geothermal research project located in Xiongan, China, the main research content is the heat exchange performance of ultra-long gravity heat pipe in geothermal and the ammonia steam generation performance of heat pipe heat exchange. In this project, pure ammonia is used as the heat exchange medium, liquid pure ammonia is passed into the entrance of ultra-long gravity heat pipe, and under the action of gravity, it flows into the underground and underground high temperature geothermal heat exchange, and the liquid ammonia is sent out from the outlet of the heat pipe after heat absorption and gasification, and the high-pressure ammonia steam enters the high-speed ammonia turbine generator set to generate electricity. After the work is done, the lack of steam enters the condenser and is condensed into liquid by circulating cooling water and then enters the heat pipe entrance to complete the cycle. The ammonia gas direct drive geothermal generator set is the first set of geothermal ammonia steam direct drive generator set in China, which was successfully put into operation in March 2023.

The motor is evenly mounted to the base frame with two stages of transmission. A single cantilever structure is adopted, wherein the central position of the transfer plate is connected with the end face of the motor through the bolt, and the top position is connected with the end face of the flange on the side of the turbine volute motor through the bolt.

This project uses circulating cooling water to cool ammonia vapor. On-site cooling tower and circulating water pump provide circulating cooling water for ammonia condenser.
