On February 15, 2025, this project invested, designed, and supplied by Boomtec was successfully connected to the grid! It is another industrial energy saving and consumption reduction achievement of our company in Guizhou Qianxi Chemical after the successful operation of the DMO steam by-product waste heat power generation project in November 2024, which is an ultra-low parameter steam turbine power generation project. This project is a milestone in ultra-low parameter steam turbine power generation, which establishes the leading position of Boomtec in negative-pressure steam turbine technology.
Both projects of Qianxi Chemical are low parameter saturated steam power generation projects; the black water flash steam is 93.5℃ negative pressure saturated, and the steam by-product of the DMO steam package is about 110℃ slightly positive pressure saturated steam. In the process of project execution, for the saturated steam with high humidity, corrosive and impurity steam, and the steam load fluctuation, the special turbine technology of Boomtec with the advantages of water corrosion, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, etc. was successfully applied, which demonstrated the technical strength and excellent project execution ability of Boomtec in the field of industrial waste heat utilization.
Project highlight: Low-grade waste heat turned into treasure
The project of Guizhou Qianxi Chemical's true flash evaporation waste heat utilization utilizes 205℃-215℃ hot water from two high-pressure gasification units in the gasification plant. It flashes steam with a pressure of 80kPa.a, a flow rate of 36.22t/h, and a temperature of 93.5℃ through a vacuum flash tank, which drives a turbine generator with a rated power of 1.8MW to generate electricity. This innovative design realizes the efficient recovery of low-grade waste heat, which lays a foundation for the company's technological leadership in the negative-pressure steam turbines.
Technical Advantage: Ultra-low Parameter Turbine, Leading Industry Innovation
The ultra-low parameter saturated steam turbine model adopted in this project is one of the core technologies of Boomtec. The unit is designed for industrial hot water flash steam, geothermal steam sources, and other low-grade heat sources, and its heat utilization efficiency is much higher than that of traditional ORC and other indirect waste heat utilization methods. To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the unit in an exceptional environment, our company has adopted several unique technologies:
Advanced vapor seal system: prevents air leakage and guarantees system stability;
High reaction degree of the full three-dimensional optimization of bending and twisting blade: make full use of the limited enthalpy drop, enhance the efficiency of the unit;
Non-frequency-adjusting blade design: adapting to a wide range of variable operating conditions, enhancing flexibility;
Blade surface hardening treatment: improves water corrosion and wear resistance, prolongs service life;
Inlet steam dehumidification and interstage water trapping and hydrophobicity: effectively preventing water corrosion and guaranteeing the safety of the unit;
Dust removal treatment: delay scaling, extend maintenance cycle, reduce operation and maintenance costs.
