On November 17th, Boomtec invested in and supplied the Qianxi Chemical DMO by-product steam waste heat power generation project, which was successfully connected to the grid!
The Project, Qianxi Chemical DMO steam by-product waste heat power generation, is a low-grade waste heat recycling project generated during the DMO synthesis process in the ethylene glycol plant of Guizhou Qianxi Chemical Company Limited, which belongs to the project "Waste heat power generation, self-generation, and self-consumption." The DMO synthesis system of Qianxi Chemical's ethylene glycol plant has eight steam ladles, and the steam of the steam ladles is low-grade waste heat, which is saturated steam with a temperature range of 106-130°C. The steam of the original steam ladles is cooled by circulating cooling water, and condensate is recovered, which is not fully utilized and results in a waste of energy.
This Project is a typical case of "waste heat power generation, self-generation, and self-consumption," which fully embodies the concept of green and sustainable development. Low-grade waste heat, usually referred to as heat energy generated in the production process but challenging to utilize directly or with low utilization efficiency, can be converted into electricity through advanced technical means, which not only reduces the dependence on traditional energy sources but also effectively reduces the operating costs and environmental burden of the enterprise.
As the project investor, Boomtec is also the technology provider and equipment integrator of the turbine generator set and power generation system. The Project adopts a 3.5MW high-efficiency pure condensing turbine generator set of Boomtec. After the Project is put into operation, it can save more than 24 million kWh of electricity, 5,146tce of standard coal, and 13,687tce of carbon dioxide for Qianxi Chemical. At RMB 0.5/kWh, the annual economic benefit of electricity savings can be up to RMB 12 million.
This Project marks another critical milestone in the field of new energy utilization. Especially in the DMO synthesis system of ethylene glycol plant, by effectively utilizing the low-grade waste heat steam and converting it into electricity through high-efficiency turbine technology, this innovative practice not only improves the efficiency of energy utilization but also adds a new performance for energy saving, emission reduction and resource recycling in the industry, and encourages more enterprises to explore and practice the new ways of waste heat recycling and utilization, and jointly promotes the optimization and upgrading of energy structure and the sustainable improvement of ecological environment.
